Inger Marie Okkenhaug

Inger Marie Okkenhaug, Professor at Volda University College

Inger Marie Okkenhaug is a Professor at the Department of History, Volda University College, where she teaches modern, international history. She received a Ph.D. in History from the University of Bergen (1999). Okkenhaug is the author of “The Quality of Heroic Living, of High Endeavour and Adventure.” Anglican Mission, Women and Education in Palestine, 1888-1948 (2002) and has co-edited Gender, Religion and Change in the Middle East: Two Hundred Years of History (2005), Interpreting Welfare and Relief in the Middle East (2008), Protestant Mission and Local Encounters in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries, (2011) and Transnational and Historical Perspectives on Global Health, Welfare and Humanitarianism (2013).
